We are set one minute’s walk away from the bayfront in the picturesque fishing village of Seatons, located on the northeastern coast of Antigua. This affordable vacation property allows for great views of the Atlantic Ocean, which is very calm due to the presence of a number of small islands close to shore.
Ellen Bay Cottages is a two storey facility painted to reflect the colour of the surrounding sky and Atlantic Ocean. There are 5 self catering apartments- 3 one bedroom studio apartment on the lower floor, and 2 spacious two bedroom apartments on the upper floor.
Each studio apartment has its own private entrance with either a view of the ocean or garden, while the upper units share a breezy gallery looking out to the beautiful, clear, blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean – a wonderful place to sit back, relax and take your morning coffee or afternoon drinks as the sun goes down.
The upper units are designed with a kitchen, living and dining area, and for a large family/group, the two upper units can be converted to a 4-bedroom apartment with pullout/folding beds available to comfortably accommodate extra persons. Each apartment has air conditioning, cable television, hot and cold showers, hair dryer, and iron and ironing board. All kitchen/kitchenettes are fully equipped with cooking and eating utensils, stove, large refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. There is also a laundry room available for your use, and free wifi internet with your convenience.
We share the waterfront with Antigua Paddles and Stingray City Antigua, and tours with these two popular excursions can be easily booked for you. We can also arrange for a fishing trip or boat tour to the North Sound Marine Park, navigating through a number of small offshore islands and culminating in a visit to Great Bird Island, where you could go swimming, snorkeling, hiking, or just relaxing on one of two beaches on the island.
A short walking distance away at the top of the hill is a small supermarket where you could pick up your basic grocery supplies. You can also choose to dine at one of the local cafes where you are able to interact with the friendly villagers. The city of St. John’s is an easy 20 minutes’ drive away, and here you will find the larger supermarkets, bars, restaurants, banks and other services. We are located 10 minutes from Long Bay Beach and 20 minutes from Half Moon Bay beach, two of the best beaches on the island; and historic sites such as Betty’s Hope Sugar Plantation, Devils Bridge, Nelsons Dockyard and Shirley Heights are only a short driving distance away.
