Sugar Ridge commands an elevated position on a natural hillside and is ablaze with an abundance of colorful indigenous plants and sugar cane. It is set against a spectacular backdrop of Antigua’s dramatic forested coastal highlands, with panoramic views whilst many of Antigua’s most beautiful beaches are on the doorstep and quickly accessible by the hotel’s complimentary shuttle. On the horizon lay Montserrat, Redonda, Nevis and St. Kitts. This area is also Antigua’s most fertile region with its black pineapple farms and mango trees close by.

Completed in December 2009, the $50 million resort is contemporary in design and includes 60 contemporary spacious guest rooms, housed in 15 two-story buildings tiered on the hillside allowing each to enjoy the spectacular setting. Most are shaded by private plants and palm trees, ensuring ultimate privacy. Each guest room has an outdoor verandah on which to enjoy the idyllic setting of Antigua and its gentle trade winds. Casually elegant interiors are light and airy, with floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides for excellent cross ventilation. The rooms feature king size four-poster beds, highlighted by rich, dark woods, stone walls and natural colored fabrics accented by island colors. State-of-the-art bathrooms feature vanities and double showers. Lower floor guestrooms are outfitted with outdoor plunge pools. Some rooms can connect to another room.

In addition, Antigua is renowned for its 365 white powdery palm fringed beaches that stretch seamlessly endlessly across its shores.
